PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES NEED YOUR HELP! Due to budget shortfalls at the state and national level, legislators are looking for opportunities to reduce funding and/or completely eliminate programs. Because programs for the developmentally disabled are already under-funded, any further cuts could have a detrimental impact on those agencies that serve these individuals.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? If people with developmental disabilities do not have their issues heard, their programs will be sacrificed. By working collectively to be a voice within government, legislators will vote favorably for the continuance of programs for the developmentally disabled. Current legislative issues will be presented below. In addition Park Lawn has provided a form letter than can be completed and forwarded to your local legislator.
